As part of our school’s ongoing commitment to child safety and protection, an informative session on the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act was conducted by Ms. Lydia for our students. The session aimed to raise awareness about children’s rights and equip them with the knowledge to protect themselves from any form of abuse.
Separate sessions were held for students of Std. 1–2 and Std. 3–4, with the content tailored to suit their age and level of understanding. Students were introduced to the key provisions of the POCSO Act and the importance of personal safety in a child-friendly and age-appropriate manner.
The session empowered students with essential knowledge about their rights, body safety, and the steps to take if they ever feel unsafe. Through interactive discussions, students were encouraged to speak up, seek help, and understand that their safety is a top priority.
Our school remains dedicated to fostering a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for every child. By working in collaboration with parents, educators, and the wider community, we aim to promote a culture of awareness, responsibility, and prevention.
The session was both engaging and enlightening, and students left with a clearer understanding of the POCSO Act and child protection. We believe that initiatives like this are vital in building a secure and empowering space for our children to grow and thrive.
