Yoga Day Celebration

On June 20, under the guidance of the Principal, along with Ms. Simla and Ms. Lerisa, a special assembly was organized to celebrate International Yoga Day. The programme highlighted the transformative power of yoga and its profound benefits for both physical fitness and mental well-being.
The day commenced with a calming meditation session, where students practiced mindfulness to soothing instrumental music, creating a serene environment for reflection. This was followed by a short video presentation on the historical and cultural significance of yoga, which enriched students’ understanding of its origins and evolution.
After the assembly, Standard V students assembled on the school ground for a practical yoga session. Throughout the day, similar sessions for Standards V to X were conducted under the expert guidance of professional yoga instructors, specially invited for the occasion. Students enthusiastically explored a variety of asanas, supported by instructional videos that reinforced proper techniques and safe practice.
These engaging sessions not only inspired students to appreciate the importance of yoga but also encouraged them to integrate its practices into their daily routines for improved health and holistic wellness. The wholehearted participation of the students reflected the success of the event and its positive impact on the school community.
