Our school celebrated Republic Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit through a meaningful prayer service. The programme highlighted the importance of 26th January, marking India’s transition into a sovereign republic and the adoption of our Constitution.
The prayer service began with a warm introduction, followed by an opening prayer thanking God for our nation and seeking blessings for peace, unity, and progress. A melodious patriotic song filled the atmosphere with pride and reverence, setting the tone for the celebration. This was followed by the Prayer of the Faithful, where students prayed for the country, its leaders, and its citizens.
To deepen the students’ understanding, a short video on the significance of Republic Day was screened. It beautifully depicted India’s journey to independence and the framing of the Constitution, helping students appreciate the sacrifices and vision of our national leaders.
The theme of the celebration was “Celebrating 150 Years of Vande Mataram”, focusing on patriotism, cultural diversity, and self-reliance. Through prayers, reflections, and presentations, students were reminded of their role in building a strong and united nation.
The programme concluded with a collective pledge by the students to be responsible learners, caring friends, and loving citizens, committed to contributing towards a strong and self-reliant India.
The prayer service was a thoughtful and inspiring way to celebrate Republic Day, leaving everyone with a renewed sense of national pride.
