Staff Orientation

A Staff Orientation Program was conducted by Fr. Gavin Lopes for the teachers of the Pre-Primary, Primary, and Secondary sections before the commencement of the new academic year 2026–2027.

The programme began with a prayerful hymn, invoking God's blessings for the new academic year. Fr. Gavin then addressed the teachers on the growing influence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education and how it is gradually transforming classrooms and teaching methods. He emphasized the importance of updating teaching techniques and embracing technology to remain relevant in the rapidly changing educational landscape.

A hands-on workshop followed, during which teachers were divided into subject-wise groups. Fr. Gavin demonstrated the effective use of Canva as a digital tool for creating engaging educational resources. Teachers actively participated in the session and explored various features of the platform.

The programme concluded with each group preparing a digital lesson plan for their respective subjects, applying the concepts learned during the workshop. The session was informative, interactive, and highly beneficial, equipping teachers with practical skills to integrate technology into their teaching practices.
